Dear friends of the Palace,

In the last couple of days, we celebrated ten years of Spiele Palast with you. We, as a team, enjoyed looking back and being proud very much. Now we look forward excitedly. Our existing games will be nourished, cherished, and refined – just like our community. And, of course, we will continue realizing more card games! Enough of words, let’s return to the celebration: Today, the Canasta Palace concludes our party series. As the youngest member of the Palace family, published on October 3, it rapidly grew. Did the one or other Rummy fan find a new passion?

The tricky 7

Canasta and Rummy bear some resemblance, after all. Cards must be combined and melded by specific rules, and whoever is the first one to be empty-handed wins the game. Rummy is quite versatile already, but Canasta ups the ante concerning strategy: The whole discard pile can be regained! To finish a round, a set of seven cards – a canasta – must have been played. Additionally, when playing with four players, alliances come into play. Canasta is played over several rounds. At the Palace, a table ends at the latest once the maximum number of rounds is played, but always once 5,000 points are reached.

As of recently, you can also join tournaments in Canasta. The first winners were determined already!

Liebe Palast Freunde,

in den letzten Tagen haben wir mit euch zehn Jahre Spiele Palast gefeiert. Es hat uns als Team viel Spaß gemacht, zurückzuschauen und auch etwas stolz zu sein. Jetzt blicken wir gespannt in die Zukunft. Unsere bestehenden Spiele werden gehegt, gepflegt und weiterentwickelt – wie auch unsere Gemeinschaft. Und natürlich wollen wir weitere Kartenspiele umsetzen! Genug der großen Worte und weitergefeiert: Heute schließt der Canasta Palast unsere Party-Reihe ab. Als jüngstes Mitglied der Palast Familie, veröffentlicht am 03.10.2019, ist es rasant gewachsen. Ob da der eine oder andere Rommé-Fan eine neue Leidenschaft entdeckt hat?

Die verflixten 7

Denn Canasta gleicht Rommé darin, dass man Karten nach bestimmten Kombinationsregeln ablegen muss und das Spiel gewinnt, wenn man als Erster leere Hände hat. Rommé ist schon sehr vielseitig. Doch Canasta setzt in Sachen Taktik noch mal eins drauf, denn der gesamte Ablagestapel kann zurückgewonnen werden. Um eine Runde zu beenden, muss man mindestens einen Satz aus sieben Karten – ein Canasta – gebildet haben. Dazu kommt bei vier Spielern das Spiel in Allianzen. Canasta wird über mehrere Runden gespielt. Im Canasta Palast endet ein Tisch spätestens, wenn die maximale Rundenzahl erreicht wird, aber immer, sobald 5.000 Punkte erreicht werden.

Seit Kurzem könnt ihr im Canasta Palast außerdem Turniere bestreiten. Die ersten Gewinner stehen bereits fest!

Liebe Palast Freunde,

unser festliches Jubiläum nähert sich langsam dem Ende. In der Reihe unserer Newcomer wollen wir euch heute Spider vorstellen – unser zweites Spiel, das 2019 erschienen ist. Am 6. August haben wir es veröffentlicht. Genau wie seine große Schwester Solitaire hat Spider schnell eine Gemeinschaft von Patience-Freunden um sich geschart. Da bedanken wir uns recht herzlich mit ein paar gratis Premium-Tagen für euren Enthusiasmus.

Solitaire Extreme

Einige wundern sich vielleicht. Solitaire haben wir doch schon im Palast? Das ist so weit richtig. Doch im Spider Palast könnt ihr neue Varianten von Solitaire spielen. Der grundlegende Spielmodus im Solitaire Palast ist Klondike Solitaire. Im Spider Palast wird dagegen die beliebte Variante Spider Solitaire gespielt.

Auch im Spider Palast wird klassisches Solitär mit einem Mehrspielermodus verfeinert. Alle Spieler erhalten denselben Satz an Karten und müssen diese Karten zu Kartenfolgen von König bis Ass sortieren. Wer seine Figur am effektivsten lösen kann, erhält mehr Punkte. Im Gegensatz zum Klondike Solitaire spielt man hier mit zwei Kartendecks, also insgesamt 104 Karten. Deshalb habt ihr auch mehr Stapel und die Möglichkeit, euch mehr übrige Karten austeilen zu lassen. Mit je mehr Farben gespielt wird, umso komplizierter kann es werden.

Wer bei Spider den Durchblick behält, kann sich mit der Sonderregel Scorpion noch an einem speziellen Spielmodus versuchen. Scorpion ist mit Spider Solitaire verwandt, hat aber ein paar andere Regeln. Zum Beispiel kann man beim Sortieren der Karten nur auf Karten der gleichen Farbe ablegen.

Für Spider haben wir auch noch eine kleine Ankündigung im Gepäck: Im nächsten Jahr werden wir euch auch im Spider Palast Turniere anbieten. Dann könnt ihr euch mit anderen Spider-Fans messen. Möge der effektivste Decklöser gewinnen!

Our happy anniversary is slowly coming to an end. Among our newcomers, we want to introduce our second game released in 2019 to you – Spider. We published it on August 6. Just like its bigger sister Solitaire, Spider was soon hosting a community of solitaire fans. Hence, we give thanks for your enthusiasm with a couple of free Premium days.

Solitaire Extreme

Some of you might be wondering: Is there not a Solitaire Palace already? That is right, but at the Spider Palace, you can play new modes of Solitaire. The initial set up at the Solitaire Palace is Klondike. Whereas at the Spider Palace, you get to play the famous Spider Solitaire.

We spice up classic solitaire gaming with a multiplayer option at the Spider Palace: All players receive the same cards and must sort these cards into sequences from King down to Ace. The player doing the most effective job receives the most points. Different from Klondike, Spider uses two sets of cards, so 104 cards in total. This is why there are more stacks, and more cards can be dealt. The more suits are used in the game, the more complicated it can be.

If you control Spider, you can try another mode, Scorpion, using custom rules. Scorpion is related to Spider, but it does use a couple of different rules. For example, the cards can only be placed on top of cards of the same suit during sorting.

And now, we have a little announcement for Spider: Next year, we will offer tournaments at the Spider Palace. You can compete with other Spider fans there. May the most effective deck solver win!

As we announced yesterday, this is the final countdown of our big birthday celebration. From now on, everything revolves around this year. In 2019, we indeed released three games. The first one of them was Pinochle on June 6. In the past couple of days, we kept mentioning working on new games. Pinochle was part of that, along with two other games. Who knows if someone is working on new releases for next year already…?

Regional Classic

Additionally, to internationally well-known games, we wanted to offer you something extraordinary and focused on a smaller game with more regional occurrence, Pinochle from Württemberg.

Pinochle has another unique characteristic among the games at the Palace: We rethought and completely revised our design there. If we are going to apply this design to our existing games in the future, we can not say yet. For now, we gain experience with it and observe the game’s development. And we have another announcement for Pinochle: Next year we will finally enable the club feature, so you can found your own clubs there!

Pinochle is a trick-taking game. It is all about strategic bidding, melding, and trick-taking! At the Pinochle Palace, you can play with three or four players. In a game of three, everyone opposes everyone. In a game of four, there are two partnerships made up of two players. Traditionally, 40 cards of the Württemberg pattern pack are used: Ace, Ten, King, Ober, and Unter are there twice in all four suits.

The aim is to collect as many points as possible. There are combinations of cards, meldings, that score specific amounts of points. After dealing, the players bid for the kitty, the pile of remaining cards. Much as in Poker, the kitty will be used to complete meldings. To bid, the players name a score that they want to achieve by in the game through meldings and trick-taking. The winner of the bidding must reach their announced score to win the game.

wie gestern angekündigt, beginnt heute der „Final Countdown“ unserer großen Geburtstagsfete. Ab jetzt dreht sich alles um dieses Jahr. 2019 haben wir tatsächlich drei Spiele rausgebracht. Das erste von ihnen war am 13.06.2019 Binokel. In den letzten Tagen haben wir immer wieder erwähnt, dass im Hintergrund stetig an Neuem gearbeitet wird. Dazu gehörte also auch Binokel mit den beiden anderen Spielen. Ob wohl in diesem Augenblick auch schon an Neuerungen für nächstes Jahr gewerkelt wird…?

Regionaler Klassiker

Neben international bekannten Spielen wollten wir euch etwas ganz Besonderes bieten und haben uns auf ein kleineres Spiel mit regionaler Verbreitung, das aus Württemberg stammende Binokel, konzentriert.

Binokel hat im Spiele Palast ein weiteres Alleinstellungsmerkmal: Wir haben dort unser Design von Grund auf neu erdacht und vollständig überarbeitet. Ob wir dieses Design für unsere anderen Spiele zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt übernehmen, können wir noch nicht sagen. Erst einmal sammeln wir Erfahrungen mit dem neuen Design und schauen, wie sich das Spiel entwickelt. Für Binokel selbst haben wir schon eine weitere Ankündigung: Nächstes Jahr wird es dort endlich der Vereins-Bereich freigeschaltet, sodass ihr eure eigenen Vereine gründen könnt!

Binokel ist ein Stichspiel. Es geht also um strategisches Reizen, Ausspielen und Stechen! Im Binokel Palast kannst du zu dritt oder zu viert spielen. Im Spiel zu dritt spielt jeder gegen jeden. Im Spiel zu viert, Kreuzbinokel, spielen zwei Zweier-Parteien gegeneinander. Es werden traditionell 40 Karten des württembergischen Blattes benutzt: Sau (Ass, Alte, Daus), Zehn, König, Ober, und Unter sind in den vier Farben jeweils zweimal vorhanden.

Das Ziel ist es, möglichst viele Punkte zu gewinnen. Es gibt Kartenkombinationen, sogenannte Meldungen, denen bestimmte Punktewerte zugeordnet sind. Nach dem Austeilen reizen die Spieler um den Dabb, der aus den übrigen Karten besteht, um damit, fast wie beim Pokern, ihre Meldungen zu vervollständigen. Die Spieler geben dabei einen Punktwert an, den sie durch die Meldungen und durch das Stechen im Spielverlauf erzielen wollen. Der Gewinner des Reizens muss diesen Wert erreichen, um das Spiel zu gewinnen.

Liebe Palast Freunde,

heute ist im Rahmen unserer Jubiläumsfeier unsere erste Patience dran: Solitaire könnt ihr seit dem 30.08.2017 im Spiele Palast finden. Am Datum könnt ihr erkennen, dass wir inzwischen definitiv bei unseren Frischlingen angekommen sind. Würdet ihr nicht seit Jahren bei uns spielen, könnten wir euch diese gar nicht anbieten. Allein, nicht einsam

Der Solitaire Palast bietet Klondike Solitaire als Ausgangsspiel an. Das Spielprinzip unterscheidet sich grundlegend von den anderen Palast-Spielen bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt. Man spielt ohne direkte Interaktion mit Gegnern und kann die eigene Taktik störungsfrei verfolgen.

Das Ziel des Spieles klingt einfach: Klondike Solitaire wird mit einem ganz normalen Kartendeck aus 52 Karten gespielt. Diese Karten werden auf mehrere Stapel verteilt. Nun müssen sie nach einem festen Schema angelegt und sortiert werden, bis alle Karten untergebracht und alle Sätze von König bis Ass vollständig sind. Der Wettkampf entsteht, wenn gewünscht, im Solitaire Palast dadurch, dass mehrere Spieler mit der gleichen Ausgangssituation starten. Wer das Spiel am effektivsten löst, gewinnt die Runde.

As part of our anniversary celebration, today it is the turn of our first solitaire game: Since August 30, 2017, you can play Solitaire at the Palace. You can tell from the date that we have reached our freshmen. If you would not have been loyal players for many years, we could not offer you those new games. So again: Thanks to our player community from our hearts! Collect your reward at the end of the post.

Alone, not lonely

Klondike Solitaire is the initial set up at the Solitaire Palace. The concept of the game is fundamentally different from the other games at the Palace up to this point. The game is played without directly interacting with opponents, which allows following the own strategy free from disruptions.

The game’s goal seems simple: Klondike uses a standard card deck with 52 cards. Those are distributed on several stacks. Now, the cards must be added to and sorted following specific rules until all cards are used, and all runs of cards from King down to Ace are complete. At the Palace, competition comes in if desired, by having several players start with the same initial situation. Solving the game fastest and most effectively will make you the winner of the round.

wir haben die Mitte unserer großen Party zu zehn Jahren Spiele Palast erreicht! Heute beschäftigen wir uns mit Rommé, das ihr seit dem 03.10.2016 im Spiele Palast spielen könnt.

Rommé gehört zu unseren Jüngeren. Doch genau wie unsere älteren Spiele halten wir es seit Tag eins frisch. Wir wollen, dass ihr es immer flüssig und in bester Darstellung spielen könnt!

Wir sagen Danke mit Rommé

Rommé ist eins der populärsten Kartenspiele. Schließlich ist es ein Spiel für jedermann! Dafür braucht man zwei französische Blätter und sechs Joker. Dann spielen zwei bis vier Spieler einzeln um den Sieg. Diesen erringt man, indem man als erstes alle Karten in Kombinationen ablegt.

In jedem Haushalt wird Rommé ein klein wenig anders gespielt. Also haben wir bei Rommé besonders viele Sonderregeln erstellt, damit ihr eure Lieblingsvariante zusammenstellen könnt. Außerdem haben wir euch dieses Jahr nach eurer Meinung zu einer bestimmten Sonderregel gefragt. Das Ergebnis haben wir in unserer Gestaltung von Rommé berücksichtigt. Denn wir wollen, dass ihr bei uns gehört werdet.

We are halfway into our big party, celebrating ten years of Spiele Palast! Today, we address Rummy, which you can play at the Palace since October 3, 2016.

Rummy is one of our juniors. But just like our older games, we have been keeping it fresh since day one. We want Rummy to look its best and run smoothly at all times.

Rummy is one of the most popular card games. It is a game for everybody, after all! You need two decks of French playing cards and six Jokers. Then, two to four players separately compete for the victory. To gain it, you must be the first one to play all your cards in combinations.

Because Rummy is played differently in each home, we created numerous custom rules for you to put your favorite version together. Furthermore, we asked for your opinion on a specific custom rule this year. We took the result into account when designing Rummy since we want you to be heard at the Palace.
